EastEnders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street's biggest stars 'face the axe in cost-cutting drive' due to record low ratings as viewers turn to streaming services
Some of the best and biggest soap stars could be facing the axe in a huge cost-cutting drive across EastEnders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street.
They revealed: "All the big three have all been told they need to cut their wage bills by up to 25 per cent. Now there is panic in the green rooms about who could be facing the chop. An Ofcom report from earlier this month revealed all three soaps were experiencing record lows as only a fraction of views are watching the soaps, compared to a decade ago.
