EastEnders got off to an explosive start during the week’s final visit to Walford, as the truth about Nadine Keller’s fake pregnanct was finally revealed to Jay Brown. As regular viewers will know, Stevie Mitchell uncovered Nadine’s deception at the end of Wednesday’s episode, with Thursday’s edition of the soap picking up just in time to see the devastating fallout.
Feeling backed into a corner, Nadine pleaded with Jay as she declared: “I didn’t want to hurt you. Jay, she was going to ruin my life!” Jay then bitterly said: “And I was just the easiest mark on your list. That’s all I was right? So your little friend ain’t going to ruin your life - I am. I think this counts as fraud doesn’t it?”
Following Nadine’s confession about the reason for her lies, fans at home were quick to share their thoughts, with many feeling something far deeper was at play than a simple surface level con over an internship.
