EastEnders fans were left gobsmacked after the truth about newcomer George Knight's mysterious ex-wife Rose Knight was finally revealed to fans in dramatic scenes on Wednesday
After weeks of intense secrecy surrounding the identity of George Knight’s mysterious ex-wife Rose, the truth was finally revealed to EastEnders viewers on Wednesday evening when it emerged Rose Knight was actually Cindy Beale!
Yet when police officer Callum checked the police database, he soon stumbled upon a large red flag, when it was revealed the file for Rose Knight was restricted. To make matters worse, Callum was later chastised by his superiors for looking into the situation, and was warned not to pursue the matter and to "forget he had ever heard" the name Rose Knight.
Later in the episode, Phil revealed that the Spanish police had news about Rose, and that she had started a new life elsewhere and wanted nothing to do with George or her daughters, something that devastated the former boxer. The mysterious “Rose” herself was then revealed to fans, as Cindy sat sipping cocktails in Spain while lounging beside a swimming pool.
