EastEnders has aired some hard-hitting scenes in recent months as popular character Lola Pearce battles with a terminal brain tumour.
The programme description on the BBC website for that day simply says: "Jay faces the most difficult moment of his life", leading fans to believe Lola will tragically die.View gallery Since being diagnosed with the terminal brain tumour in November 2022, Lola has done all she can to try and keep going for longer.
After she was given the latest lot of devastating news, Lola asked her granddad Billy Mitchel to help her end her own life. Clearly heartbroken, Billy attempted to reassure his dying granddaughter saying: "“That ain’t going to happen, ok?”
