Former EastEnders star Jake Wood has paid heartfelt tribute to his wife Alison in a gushing post on social media. While Jake’s Walford character Max Branning may have been a famous womaniser, Jake is a one-woman man, marrying Alison in 2001.
In a post to celebrate her birthday, Jake waxed lyrical about his ”beautiful” wife, passionately declaring her a “ray of f***king sunshine” in his life.
Alongside his words, Jake posted various pictures of the couple together, family holidays and some fun snaps of Alison. When asked why they decided to tie the knot again, the Jake explained: "We had such an amazing day when we got married but we didn’t have much money, so it was all done on a very tight budget."
He added: "You’ve got to work hard at it and you’ve got to talk. Alison’s taught me that. We always have a date night once a week when we just hang out, catch up and talk."A proud family man, earlier this year Jake shared a picture with his son Buster, 16, to Instagram, gushing as the teen played in a charity football match for Sellebrity Soccer. As the actor shared the post with his 177K followers and wrote "PROUD DAD ALERT".
