EastEnders star Laila Rouass has opened up about Ayesha Siddhu's true feelings for Suki Panesar after the character's bombshell debut in the BBC soap earlier this week
EastEnders' Laila Rouass has spilled the beans on her character Ayesha Siddhu's complex relationship with Suki Panesar.
The plot thickened when it emerged that Ayesha is the very woman Suki had harboured feelings for many years ago. In a tragic turn of events, Nish had murdered Ayesha's husband Hardeep, mistakenly believing his wife was unfaithful with him. Laila Rouass, while chatting on ITV's This Morning about her new role in the BBC drama, shared: "She's smart, intelligent and she's really kind as well. You never really know and anything can happen. They give you the freedom to develop the character so that was really, really good fun.", reports the Daily Star.
With Suki's current partner Eve Unwin growing increasingly envious of their bond, viewers are left wondering if her jealousy might drive Suki straight into Ayesha's waiting arms. After making a sensational entrance on the show, Laila confessed that Ayesha was stunned to be reunited with Suki after such a long time.
