BBC One soap EastEnders delivered another fantastic surprise, as they celebrate iconic returns in the lead up to the 40th anniversary.

Joe Wicks has returned to EastEnders, and we can’t quite believe it. At the end of last week, David Wicks returned to Walford after receiving a concerning call from Kat Slater . She had been worried about friend Bianca Jackson , who has been displaying erratic behaviour for months.
David was planning on leaving Walford last night, but was forced to stay for a few more hours after discovering Cindy Beale and Junior Knight kissing down the side of the pub. The confrontation between David and Cindy while at Beale’s Eels featured a lot of reminders of the past. Cindy reckoned David was as bad as her for having an affair, given they slept together and betrayed Ian Beale back in the day.
