EastEnders star Davood Ghadami is reportedly in a new relationship with his married pantomime co-star, Melanie Barker . The 42-year-old actor, known for his role as Kush Kazemi on the BBC soap, is said to have developed feelings for Barker, 32, who played Princess Jasmine in a 2022/23 production of Aladdin . The pair reportedly met during the pantomime at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury.
According to The Sun, there was palpable chemistry between Ghadami and Barker, with sources describing them as 'very attractive' and suggesting that backstage flirting was common. After the production ended, they are said to have kept in touch, eventually leading to a romantic relationship. Ghadami reportedly left his wife, Isobel, whom he married in 2010, and with whom he shares two daughters, while Barker is believed to still be legally married to husband Daniel Haslam. The Sun reports that Barker left the family home last year with their three young children, aged two, five, and seven. Ghadami and Barker appear to have gone public with their relationship on Instagram, sharing a video of themselves together on a romantic trip to York in December. They have also been posting photos of themselves working out together at Davood's Crossfit gym. One snap even showed them standing in front of a neon sign that read: 'Tell someone you love them this Christmas.' Ghadami previously addressed rumors of a 'Strictly curse' during his appearance on the 2017 series of the show, stating that his wife was aware of the nature of his profession and supported him unconditionally. MailOnline has contacted a representative of Davood for comment.
