As EastEnders icon Sharon Watts returns to Walford after fleeing to Australia in the wake of Keanu's murder, actress Letitia Dean has teased what lies in store for her character
After an extended break away from our screens following the fallout of Keanu Taylor’s murder last Christmas, Walford favourite Sharon Watts makes her long awaited return to EastEnders this week - and as expected, brings more than a little chaos with her.
Touching on Sharon’s current state of mind, Letitia explained: “She’s mourning the death of Keanu, of her relationship and the death of their family unit, so she’s completely overwhelmed by heartache and grief. So, the short answer is, no, she is definitely not coping!” She then continued: “She doesn’t take any of that for granted, and I think naively, she wants to come back and somehow put it all behind her and move forward.”
She then continued: “In fact, I don’t think Sharon even wants to believe it because, in her world, she can’t accept that. Now that Sharon is back, she is determined to be there for Linda and help her navigate everything with the rest of the women. “At some point, she knows she’s going to have to face him and have that difficult chat about Albie, but she doesn’t have the headspace to worry about anything else other than what happened at Christmas,” explained the actress.
