A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of New South Wales with residents urged to brace for large hailstones and heavy rainfall.
The Bureau of Meteorology on Wednesday warned severe weather and large accumulations of small hail could lead to flash flooding in the Northern Rivers and Northern Tablelands regions.
Locations which may be affected include Lismore, Murwillumbah, Casino, Kyogle, Coraki and Alstonville with the severe weather warning set to extend from about Illawarra northwards.In a 3pm update, NSW Rural Fire and Rescue said a large storm was currently impacting communities across the Blue Mountain and South Coast areas.
The State Emergency Service has advised residents to stay vigilant and monitor conditions and stay clear of floodwater.
