easyJet announced an expansion at Liverpool airport, adding an eighth plane to its fleet. This comes after a 18% increase in customer numbers and the introduction of eight new routes. The airline also reported a 34% improvement in profit before tax for 2024.

easyJet posted its 2024 financial results for the year, showing a 34% improvement in profit before tax of £610m. This was driven by another consecutive record summer and 56% improvement in easyJet holidays’ profits, the ECHO reports. “The growth of our fleet with yet another aircraft at our Liverpool base will not only support around 400 jobs, but is enabling us to further unlock the opportunity of the continuing demand that we see for both leisure and business travel in the North West.
