The flight was forced to divert following the on-board medical emergency
An easyJet passenger recalled the terrifying moment their flight was diverted and forced to make an emergency landing after the pilot had a medical emergency. Yesterday evening's flight from Hurghada in Egypt was bound for Manchester Airport but as a result was diverted to Athens. The easyJet plane then had circle the airport before making the emergency landing and touching down where it was greeted by emergency vehicles on the runway. The remaining pilot was able to land the plane safely.
The passenger said: 'The ride began to get very rough & scary and as we approached the runway we were welcomed with lots of emergency services such as fire engines, police, and ambulances all lined along the runway. We started to panic. 'I got upset once I felt how rocky and rough the landing was and started to panic thinking it was the end. Another passenger began to have a panic attack and was given an oxygen mask to help.
