EdSheeran's grandmother who inspired hit track Nancy Mulligan has died 💔

Ann Mary, known as Nancy by her nearest and dearest, inspired the hitmaker’s 2017 track Nancy Mulligan – Mulligan being his grandmother’s maiden name – and passed away peacefully at her care home in Ireland last Tuesday April 25.

Speaking about the track, dad-of-two Ed previously said: “They got engaged and no one turned up at their wedding. She continued: “He was lovely as a kid and he came [to Ireland] every year on holidays once we moved here.”
