Cammy Day has asked the community to help identify those who are responsible for the 'appalling' scenes.
The leader of Edinburgh City Council has appealed for the public to help identify dozens of yobs who have attacked police officers with fireworks and petrol bombs on Bonfire Night.
Officers have been seen in a line of defence trying to protect the community as they are hit with fireworks with cars and houses also being blasted.City of Edinburgh Council leader Cammy Day has said he has been "appalled" by the scenes and hoped the culprits would be brought to justice. “We’ve been working hard throughout the year in our communities to mitigate Bonfire Night-related disruption so it is extremely disappointing to see a minority of people behaving in this way.
