Nicole Nadler enjoyed five-star reviews and sell-out shows in 2023, this year could be a flop after spending around £5,000 on her latest gig at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

A Scots comedian who is taking a show to the Festival Fringe has revealed she has only sold three tickets for her opening night.

"Compared to last year my ticket sales are dire," Nicole wrote in a post online recently. "I had twice the amount tickets sold this time last year and I have been trying not to get the fear but… it’s now under two weeks away until my opening night and the fear has fully grasped me." The 34-year-old moved to Edinburgh in 2017 and when she was 30 she stumbled across an article about someone with ADHD. She said that one article changed her life as she recognised she had the same traits. She was diagnosed with the condition shortly after.

"It's a lot of money to put a show on at the Fringe. I've spent around £5,000 to £6,000 and I live local! But all the money I made from last year's run has just been recycled and put back into this. I also just want to share my story, so I have put on more offers for half-price tickets throughout the month.
