A new study has revealed that hotels in Edinburgh have tripled their rates next weekend ahead of Taylor Swift's three consecutive concerts at Murrayfield Stadium.
Edinburgh hotels have tripled their prices for Taylor Swift 's three-night residency in the city, according to a new study.
New research carried out by Buzz Bingo has revealed that hotels in the city are three times more expensive on the nights of Swift's concerts than normal. According to the experts, a single-night stay in Edinburgh across the weekend costs on average £597. The hotel prices were taken from Booking.com from the top ten hotels that showed up as available for a one night stay on the date that Taylor Swift is performing in Edinburgh. For the average price of the hotels when Swift isn’t performing, Buzz Bingo analysed hotels available a month before and a month after the Eras Tour visits the city.
"Therefore, when the tour dates were announced, I made the tactical decision to sign up for European shows too, knowing it was a viable option and definitely cheaper without needing accommodation, along with the costs of travelling within the UK.
