Mets closer Edwin Díaz blew his third save in four chances on Thursday
New York Mets' Francisco Lindor provided closer Edwin Díaz with a reminder in the middle of his outing against the Phillies on Thursday.
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza corroborated that this has been a problem for Díaz this season. Speaking with reporters after the game, Díaz recalled a conversation he had with his manager recently. Unfortunately, Stott managed to single on a slider outside of the zone, tying the game at four for Díaz’s third blown save in the last four opportunities.
