Our usually busy streets are looking much quieter
, with popular areas like Old Market Square and the Lace Market resembling ghost towns.
It's the one day of the year when most are at home, celebrating the festivities, and therefore our usually bustling streets have been left looking much quieter than usual. We're taking a trip around the city to see the unusually empty streets as people stay at home to open presents and enjoy festive meals with their loved ones. We will be visiting popular areas across the city to show you how different they look today following weeks of bustling activity from shoppers and Christmas Market visitors.
