The shipwreck has a fascinating history
A photographer visiting Scotland has shared"magnificent" images of the remains of a fishing vessel in the Highlands at sunset.when he visited the famous Corpach Shipwreck. The wreck is located a few miles from the town, with the dramatic landscape of Ben Nevis as a backdrop., the boat's original name is MV Dayspring. It was constructed in 1975 and it was used as a fishing vessel to catch herring and mackerel in the North Sea.
After later being transported to Northern Ireland to continue fishing, the vessel was eventually returned to Scotland and was moored at Kinlochleven Pier in 2001. There were originally plans to convert the old boat into a seafoodcaused the chain that was responsible for keeping the boat moored to fail. As a result, it drifted out to sea before eventually running aground on the beach—where it has remained ever since.
The beach is open to the public, and over the years the wreck has become increasingly popular among photographers and adventure seekers. Pritchard's pics capture the eerie beauty of the shipwreck, standing alone in the water, with the dramatic backdrop and sunset sky adding to the moody atmosphere. Taking to Facebook to share the snaps, he wrote:"No visit to Fort William would be complete without a trip to the famous Corpach wreck!"
