EG Group, the international convenience retail, food services, and fuel stations operator owned by the Issa Brothers, has appointed Bob Dennis as an independent non-executive director. Dennis, a retired partner with KPMG LLP, will become the chair of the audit and risk committee in the spring of 2024.
Blackburn's billionaire Issa Brothers EG Group has appointed a senior accountant to its board. Bob Dennis will become an independent non-executive director of the international operator of convenience retail, food services and fuel stations on February 1.
Mr Dennis is a retired partner with accountancy giant KPMG LLP, where he most recently served as energy and industrial products sector lead, and was based in its Denver, Colorado office. He is said to be a seasoned professional with 38 years’ experience advising Fortune 1000 companies, both public and private-equity backed, primarily in the energy and natural resources, transportation, and food and drink sectors in the US, which is EG Group’s single largest market.
Mr Dennis said: “EG Group is a sector leader and I am pleased to join the board at such an exciting period for the business. The company is well-positioned for further growth, and I look forward to working with the management team to realise its full potential."
