Eight arrested over teen tourist missing on first trip to UK
Eight people have been arrested over the disappearance of a teenage tourist from Vietnam who vanished in York.
Fifteen-year-old Lihn Le went missing from her tour group on Tuesday afternoon and police are growing increasingly concerned for her safety, with fears she could be anywhere in the country.Those who have been detained are still in custody as officers seek more information about an Asian man the youngster was last seen with, who is believed to be about 20 years old.
He was dressed in a dark top and a black baseball-style cap when he was seen with Lihn at around 4.40pm on Tuesday, up on the bar walls above Station Rise.Lihn was wearing a white Ariana Grande jacket, light blue denim shorts, and was carrying a white rucksack. Ten minutes before the sighting near the railway station, she was seen in Coney Street, which is short walk away via a bridge over the River Ouse.
