Elderly, frail and housebound people across East Kilbride are set to benefit from a new wellbeing programme thanks to a bumper National Lottery award.

“I now go into their community hub, The Meeting Place, nearly every day because they are so welcoming, and they always have time for me. I know I can rely on them for support on days when I am feeling really low. “The service was borne out of our Covid Emergency Response when we offered support for vulnerable people at home, including help with prescriptions, a grocery shopping service, ‘Keep in Touch’ calls and online activities.
