Fern Britton called out 'game player' Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu in a dramatic Celebrity Big Brother nomination. Love Island star Ekin-Su nominated broadcaster Fern and vice versa leading to a savage war of words.
Georgia Steel took to her Instagram account on Friday to defend Ekin-Su Culculoglu after she was 'cancelled' by toxic online trolls following her elimination from Celebrity Big Brother.
She said: 'I just wanted to come on here and show some love and support for Ekin Su. I have been on the receiving end of trolling and it's honestly not ok. It can really affect you. 'Having an opinion and trolling is two completely different things. People cannot continue to get away with hiding behind a username, sending horrible anonymous messages without any consequences.
Taking to X one viewer said: 'Nikita, no you are not being cancelled. Not sure about Ekin-Su though'. But Ekin-Su's family and friends have now asked fans to lay off criticising her, saying it was difficult for them to read 'hateful comments' and 'physical abuse threats'. 'What made last night a thousand times harder though is seeing and listening to hateful comments, trolling, name calling and physical abuse threats. Nobody deserves this behaviour and to read some of what we did last night.
Ekin-Su's family and friends have now asked fans to lay off criticising her, saying it was difficult for them to read 'hateful comments' and 'physical abuse threats' A third said: 'Not Ekin-Su cuddling her teddy and crying like she's some 9-year-old who had her Nintendo DS confiscated #CBBUK.'Another viewer wrote: 'I swear Ekin-Su used to be an actress. why is she so bad at fake crying #CBBUK.'
