FromSoftware's expansion for Elden Ring has become the most celebrated DLC ever, beating The Witcher 3 and GTA 4.
Shadow Of The Erdtree is being showered with grace FromSoftware’s expansion for Elden Ring has become the most celebrated DLC ever following early reviews, beating The Witcher 3 and GTA 4. While it was unlikely any DLC for Elden Ring would prove to be disappointing, based on FromSoftware’s pedigree, the studio has still managed to surpass itself in terms of critical acclaim.
FromSoftware boss Hidetaka Miyazaki has been cagey about whether there would be another expansion or a sequel for Elden Ring, but he stated there ‘could well be something in the future’ – which could mean just about anything. If the studio isn’t motivated to make a sequel by the critical acclaim, they might be driven by Elden Ring’s huge sales – with the title having shipped over 25 million units worldwide so far.
