Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will “participate in a conversation” on Wednesday with reporters at the National Association of Black Journalists’ convention in Chicago, his campaign announced. Participants in the event include Kadia Goba of Semafor, Rachel Scott of ABC News and Harris Faulkner of Fox News.
Trump will “engage in a Q&A with political journalists before an audience of registered convention attendees that will concentrate on the most pressing issues facing the Black community,” Trump’s campaign said in a statement. Trump has pitched his candidacy to Black voters in part by arguing that migrants who illegally enter the country are taking “Black jobs,” and that Black unemployment was lower when he was in office.
