President Biden is scheduled to spend the second day of the Republican National Convention in Las Vegas, where he will be interviewed by BET host Ed Gordon before delivering remarks at the NAACP National Convention. After that, he will participate in an economic summit with Rep. Steven Horsford . Per the White House, Biden will speak about his work to advance racial justice and deliver economic opportunity for Black Americans.
Biden has called on Congress to pass legislation to give corporate landlords a chance to either cap rent increases on existing units or risk losing some federal tax breaks. The president has also moved to repurpose public land to enable as many as 15,000 additional affordable housing units to be built in Nevada.
