A New Jersey elementary school teacher is facing serious charges after allegedly sexually assaulting and having a child with a 13-year-old former student. The shocking case came to light when the boy's father noticed a resemblance between his son and a five-year-old child, leading to social media posts and an investigation.
A fifth-grade teacher in New Jersey is accused of sexually assaulting and having a child with a 13-year-old former student. Laura Caron, 34, was arrested after the teen's father posted on social media about a resemblance between his son and the pair's five-year-old child. According to court documents, the teen boy and his siblings resided with Caron from 2016 to 2020. During that time, the alleged sexual assault s occurred.
The victim's sister claimed to have witnessed the boy in Caron's bed in the morning and Caron entering the bathroom while he was showering. The victim's brother also alleged seeing Caron sexually assaulting him. In a text message to his sister, the victim reportedly confessed to being the father of the five-year-old and requested that it remain a secret. The text message also revealed that he communicated with Caron until his father's Facebook post in December. Caron, who taught at Middle Township Elementary School, gave birth to the child in 2019. She has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering a child's welfare. Middle Township Police Chief Tracey Super assured the community that every step is being taken to ensure the safety of the children. Caron is currently on paid administrative leave from the school district
