On Wednesday, a Brazilian Supreme Court judge warned that X could be suspended if CEO Elon Musk did not appoint a new legal representative for the platform’s operations in Brazil within 24 h ours."Soon, we expect Judge Alexandre de Moraes will order X to be shut down in Brazil—simply because we would not comply with his illegal orders to censor his political opponents," X’s Global Government Affairs team said in a statement.
X also announced plans to publish"all of Judge de Moraes' alleged illegal demands and related court filings in the interest of transparency," underscoring its commitment to resisting what it considers unlawful orders.
