146 couples from all over U.S. trek to Tiffin, Ohio to elope during the total solar eclipse
150 couples from all over the U.S. are registered to marry in Seneca County April 8, 2024 during the total solar eclipse .
Bryce Riggs, Executive Director of Destination Seneca County told 19 News the idea started last year and kept growing. He said dozens of couples from all over the country registered and obtained marriage licenses and so county leaders decided to do a mass wedding ceremony. To date, couples from Georgia, Maryland, South Carolina, Texas, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Ohio are registered to get married.
