The beloved Santa Specials have made a comeback at the East Lancashire Railway for the festive period. Families are invited to join a scenic journey through the Irwell Valley, filled with Christmas characters, entertainment, and surprises.
Once aboard the steam train, passengers will embark on an 80-minute return trip to Rawtenstall, featuring appearances from Santa, gift-giving, and live festive music from a brass band. For those with special educational needs and disabilities , there are tailored sessions available that provide a calm and friendly atmosphere with necessary adaptations.These include reduced visual stimuli for a sensory-friendly environment and accommodated outdoor access to cater to individual needs.
