Elton John has opened up about his suicide attempt in his new documentary Never Too Late, admitting he was detached from his life at the time
Elton John makes a candid admission in his latest documentary Never Too Late, now streaming on Disney+ from today .
He admits to his inability to control his drug use, saying, "I was the worst kind of person to take drugs because I couldn't have a line and then put it away, I'd have to finish it off and then I'd want more." He elaborates: "I just wanted someone to put their arm around me, I was nervous about my family seeing what kind of state I was in."
Through the anxious night, his family remained by his side. As he oscillated between consciousness and delirium, morning brought him back around.
