A spokesman for East Midlands Airport confirmed there had been a medical incident onboard a TUI aircraft

A passenger has been taken ill on a TUI flight from East Midlands Airport which has meant delays of around an hour for holidaymakers. A passenger at East Midlands Airport said: "Anyone flying out from East Midlands today, there will probably be a delay, especially TUI. There’s a poorly passenger on the Kos flight"

and that flights for the rest of the day were expected to go ahead as planned, Derbyshire Live reports. They said: "There was a short delay to a flight due to a medical incident on board a TUI aircraft. The flight has departed now and the waiting time for those delayed was just short of an hour. "The rest of the flights today are expected to go ahead as planned provided there is no further disruption." TUI has been contacted for a statement.
