QFES state commander of operations Peter Hollier told Sky News Australia that the combination of hot temperatures and gusty winds are behind the intense fires.“And unfortunately there will be a change in the warnings on a regular basis. “The key message is to make sure those people in that key area are well prepared, they are situationally aware of what’s happening in the area around them, they are in tune with the warnings.”
