Eric Koreen looks at what the Raptors have to offer the Trail Blazers in a potential deal for Damian Lillard.
There is little else to say about Flynn at this point. Through three years, he has yet to prove he is a solidplayer. Whether he has been given enough of a chance is up for debate, but the Raptors do not have much left invested in him compared to the others in this group.
Speaking of the 2020 draft class, Achiuwa is in the same contractual situation as Flynn but is more valuable. To be honest, I considered calling him the most valuable player here from the Raptors’ perspective. Aside from his stint as a starter in Anunoby’s place, last year was disappointing for Achiuwa. However, he has flashed multiple times, both as a small-ball centre and a bigger wing.
Speaking of which, Christian Koloko’s rim protection numbers were excellent last season. His player type isn’t necessarily en vogue, but the Raptors obviously like him and want to keep him around. Finally, Dick, the 13th pick from June’s draft, has to be the most valuable player in this group to the Raptors and also the Trail Blazers. It is not that anybody can say for certain that he’ll be an NBA contributor; it’s difficult to say that about any rookie. He is a 6-foot-8 shooter, though, and he is on a rookie-scale deal for the next four years.
