Despite paramedics and fire crews arriving to help, the patient decided not to go to hospital.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent one ambulance to Smithfield Road, Shrewsbury, at 8.52pm on Tuesday following a fire engine from Shrewsbury which was sent to the scene just minutes before.
A spokesman from WMAS said:"We were called to reports of a medical emergency on Smithfield Road at 8.52pm, one ambulance attended the scene. "On arrival we discovered one male patient who following assessment, did not wish to be taken to hospital and was discharged at the scene." A spokesman for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said they received a call reporting an incident classified as an urgent special service call at 8.46pm.
"Assistance was given to ambulance service," a spokesman said. The fire crew sent its incident stop message at 9.04pm.
