The road has been closed and eyewitnesses say they saw a recovery truck plough into a stationary bus at bus stop.
A Scots road has been closed in both directions after a crash involving a passenger bus and 'recovery truck'. Emergency services are currently at the scene of the collision that took place on the A92 at Dunnottar Castle, near Stonehaven. Crews raced to the scene around 4pm. Shocked eyewitnesses have told how they saw a recovery truck plough into a stationary bus at a bus stop. Scottish Fire and Rescue have confirmed they have sent two appliances including a heavy rescue unit.
Bosses have been forced to divert services and are unable to serve Dunnottar, Catterline or Kinneff. An update posted on X from the travel operator said: 'Due to an accident at Dunnottar, the road has been closed & the X7 service affected. 'The service will divert via the A90 between Inverbervie & Stonehaven in both directions & therefore will not be able to serve Dunnottar, Catterline or Kinneff. Apologies for any inconvenience.
