The update comes after an escalation in conflict in the Middle East
Emirates has issued a new warning to travellers over banned items on flights to and from Dubai. The airline has made the new announcement just a day after it was revealed that certain routes in the Middle East had been cancelled.
as Israel intensified air strikes on Lebanon following an earlier attack by Iran on Israel earlier this week. The latest message from the airline warned passengers that taking pagers and walkie talkies to and from Dubai was prohibited. This follows last month's attacks on Lebanese group Hezbollah involving communication devices that exploded.
On Tuesday, Iran launched a missile attack on Israel, with Israel responding by intensifying airstrikes on Thursday night. As a result airlines have had to cancel routes and divert flights, causing a knock-on effect for international travel.
