Packer, Scotland’s most prolific sexual predator, is using ex-soldier Scott Forrest to claim he is innocent of the murder in letters to the Sunday Mail.
Emma Caldwell’s killer Iain Packer has befriended a depraved fellow sex attacker behind bars who was jailed for raping a pensioner.
“Iain is not happy she died but not by him. Police needed to catch anyone to make themselves look better.” Packer, 51, was found guilty of Emma’s murder 19 years after she was killed. He was also convicted of 11 rapes and multiple sexual assaults against 22 women following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow in February.
The victim was eventually able to escape and turned up at a police station sobbing and bleeding.Forrest then lied, claiming that he was going to be paid for having sex with the woman. Instead, the force focused on four Turkish men and, after a bungled operation by Strathclyde Police costing £4million, that case collapsed.
