EMMANUEL MACRON’s plan to boost French growth and reduce the budget deficit faces a further setback, as the latest figures reveal industrial production has plummeted in the second quarter.
Manufacturing was also down 0.3 percent in the second quarter compared with the first, largely due to a decline in the production of transport equipment, the Financial Times reports.The news sparked fears that Europe’s biggest economy is on the brink of recession.
