'It would be hard to marry the idea of a bad person in her life'
As viewers know, John is Victoria Sugden’s long-lost half-brother who has recently arrived in the village. Although, the new character hasn’t been greatly interested in the famous soap history of the Sugden family.
Firstly, discussing John and his lack of interest and Victoria’s welcoming actions, Isabel said: “It can be a lonely place when you haven’t got any family. I think she’s thrilled that she’s finally got another Sugden around.” The 30-year-old acting star, who first started portraying Victoria back in 2006, would love to see more Sugdens in Emmerdale.
“So, it is nice to try and reestablish the Sugden family and the Sugden connection. I’ve really enjoyed it.” Explaining Victoria’s actions, Isabel said: “She is suspicious because she’s just either been drip feed or found everything out by accident. I just think she wants the chance to be able to have the frank conversation.”
So, who is Aidan Moore and could this lead to a dark discovery about John? Discovering whether Victoria could accept him as a baddie, Isabel admitted: “It would depend on what it was and if he was hurting people. If he was truly a sinister character, I think she would struggle there because I think fundamentally Victoria is a good person so it would be hard to marry the idea of a bad person in her life.
