Emmerdale fans were left distraught during Tuesday night’s episode of the ITV soap as Leyla very nearly relapsed in heartbreaking scenes following a row with former flame Liam Cavanagh .
However in scenes that unfolded on Tuesday, Leyla received a visit from Liam at her home, where he quashed any hopes of a reunion by asking his former wife to file divorce papers and end their relationship once and for all. Overhearing the conversation, Leyla was left reeling and soon excused herself as she retreated to mourn the end of her relationship.
Hurt and humiliated, as soon as he left, the jilted lover could be seen scrambling for her handbag to find a hit to take the edge off her sadness, however, she was met only with an empty packet, sending her spiralling further and further into her own misery.
