Young medical student Jacob Gallagher will experience what it is like working in a busy A&E department in a special one hour long episode of Emmerdale , due to be shown on ITV in January. Fans are already excited to see the story, in which Jacob, played by Joe Warren Plant, will spend his first day on a job placement in A&E working with cases of serious injury and life threatening emergencies that could prove too much for him.
There were a few grumbles from some Emmerdale viewers, with one writing: “If only we had a whole medical drama series for this, could call it Casualty or Holby City!” and another agreeing by saying: “Okay these is actually a show called Casualty, that specialises in these kind of situations.”
