Belle Dingle is putting her energy into healing and reclaiming her life after her abusive marriage to Tom King. In the latest episode of Emmerdale, Belle made it clear that a new relationship isn't on her radar. Focussing on her own well-being and independence, Belle is taking steps to move forward from the trauma she experienced.
Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) made it clear in tonight's episode of Emmerdale that a new boyfriend isn't on her mind right now. The beloved character has been sorting out her divorce from Tom King (James Chase), who is in prison after abusing Belle for over a year. During a visit, Belle realized time behind bars hadn't changed Tom in the slightest.
As he tried to spin the narrative and question if her Dingle family had pushed for the divorce, Belle firmly stated that it was her own decision. She explained that she was healing from her ordeal and ending their marriage would be the perfect closure for her. Standing up to Tom made Belle feel empowered. When she returned home, Lydia (Karen Blick) inquired about her next steps, to which Belle responded that she wasn't sure but found the idea exciting. Having her life controlled by Tom for so long, she now felt free to do whatever she wanted. The episode saw Belle join Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant), Noah (Jack Downham), and Sarah (Katie Hill) at The Hide for food and drinks. The atmosphere was somewhat tense due to Rich, Jacob's friend, who had just confessed to hiding a bag of cocaine in Jacob's bag, which was discovered by Leyla (Roxy Shahidi). After consuming a few too many drinks, Rich's awful attempt at flirting left Belle unimpressed, and she didn't hesitate to put him in his place. It's evident that a relationship isn't Belle's priority at the moment. Following the abuse she endured from Tom, it will take her time to consider another romance. For now, she's focusing her love and attention on other aspects of her life
