Actor Jurell Carter, known for playing Nate Robinson on Emmerdale, is leaving the soap to star in a stage production of the classic BBC series Boys from the Blackstuff.
Emmerdale 's Jurell Carter , 32, has revealed what’s on the horizon following his departure from the ITV soap in September. The actor, who played heartthrob Nate Robinson in the soap, is set to leave TV screens behind for a while and tread the boards, starring as Loggo in an exciting new stage version of the classic BBC series Boys from the Blackstuff. The tour is set to launch at the end of January next year, promising to bring the powerful tale to audiences across the UK.
The synopsis of the gripping drama describes: '80s Liverpool. Chrissie, Loggo, George, Dixie and Yosser are used to hard work and providing for their families. With a job offer in Shetland, Nate was all set to depart for a fresh start with wife Tracy Metcalfe and their little girl Frankie, following their emotional reunion. In a shocking twist, Nate was wrongly accused of reigniting an old flame with his stepmother Moira Dingle, five years after their scandalous affair. Despite Nate's protests of innocence, the village turned against him, including Tracy and his own father, Cain Dingle, reports the Mirror. In a fit of rage, Cain lashed out at Nate and disowned him, only to discover by Friday that his son was blameless.
