Former Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden, who played David Metcalfe on the ITV soap opera from 2006 until his departure last year, has revealed he's undergoing surgery.
During his appearance on This Morning, he confessed: "I am so nervous about leaving, nearly 20 years, almost two decades. His exit followed the revelation that his son Jacob Gallagher had entered into a relationship with Victoria Sugden , who was previously romantically involved with David.
