Emmerdale star 'quits soap after a year' and prepares to film exit scenes Emmerdale
Emmerdale 's Karene Peter is thought to be leaving the soap, after playing the role of Naomi Walters for just one year.
Her character Naomi has had her fair share of drama, having been unmasked as one of Nicola King’s attackers and involved in a drugs storyline where soap villain Alex was caught with drugs by Naomi's father, Charles. A source told The Sun: “Karene’s loved her time on the soap but it is time for her to go. Being on Emmerdale was a dream but she became an actor to play different roles and that’s exactly what she wants to do.Whilst Karene, aka Naomi, may be leaving the show, the Anderson family is getting a new addition, in the form of Charles' mother, Claudette, played by Flo Wilson.
Karene has previously opened up about how she stumbled into life as an actor after a friend in the industry encouraged her to go to acting classes.
