Emmerdale actress Beth Cordingly, who plays the character Ruby Fox-Miligan, has responded to the backlash against her 'pretty awful' character. Ruby, the not-so-estranged wife of Caleb Miligan , made a dramatic entrance into the ITV village earlier this year, immediately clashing with her husband and the Dingle family.
" think she's pretty awful", the former The Bill and Casualty actress revealed. "After the dinner party scene where Ruby got drunk and was horrible to everybody, my dad was very concerned I'd get trolled. I don't really look at social media... Everyone is entitled to their opinion."Despite the criticism Ruby may have received from frustrated viewers online, Beth defended her on-screen alter ego's good traits.
Ruby's recent actions have caused quite the stir, including a heated confrontation with Nate and Tracy Robinson , and a particularly intense altercation with Emmerdale's own tough guy, Cain Dingle , Caleb's half-brother, where she delivered a painful blow during a row at The Woolpack.
