Jay Kontzle, known for his role as Billy Fletcher in Emmerdale, first gained recognition on a reality show long before his soap opera debut.
Billy has also been involved in numerous major plotlines - from his disastrous wedding to Dawn Taylor to the shocking leukaemia diagnosis of their child Evan. Billy has been engaging in these matches in an attempt to financially assist his family, who have been under strain since Evan's diagnosis. His secret is ultimately exposed to Mackenzie Boyd and John Sugden , reports the Mirror.
The actor featured on both The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent, as part of a boy band. The group, named The Mend, comprised of Jay and three friends and they auditioned for The X Factor in 2011.
