A few Emmerdale fans were up early to watch Monday's episode
Zak Dingle was revealed to have died in tonight's episode. In the final moments of the episode, fan-favourite Moira told her husband Cain that Zak had died. Zak had been up in Scotland staying with his granddaughter Debbie.
Last year, actor Steve Haliwell, who first started playing Zak in 1994, died at the age of 77. In upcoming episodes, the Dingle clan will mark the death of the iconic character with a farewell storyline. A few Emmerdale fans were up early to watch Monday's episode, which has been shown from 7am from today. @EmmaLouiseWebb3 said on X: "I'm in bits help me please." Later, adding: "It's Monday and I'm crying like a baby." @ccielucas said: "What a fab shot. Going to be an emotional week. Zak was a Dingle Legend."
The actress who plays Mandy Dingle, Lisa Riley, said on @Reallisariley said on X: "This week on Emmerdale, the family come together to show real respect to our top man Zak.
