The ceremony was previously confirmed to be postponed.
The WGA strike began in May, a core issue being residual payments from streaming for writers, while the actors' SAG-AFTRA strike began last month, also focused around pay, as well as safeguarding around artificial intelligence .
The two strikes also mark the first time both actors and writers have been on strike at the same time since 1960. SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher said upon the commencement of the strike: "SAG-AFTRA negotiated in good faith and was eager to reach a deal that sufficiently addressed performer needs, but the AMPTP's responses to the union's most important proposals have been insulting and disrespectful of our massive contributions to this industry."
